Walking with warrants nets arrest

On Sunday, December 29, 2019, at noon Bell County Deputy Edward Dray was on routine patrol on Polly Hollow Left Fork along with Deputy Frank Foster. During the patrol Deputy Dray witnessed a woman walking in an area known for multiple drug trafficking complaints, namely made by those on foot.


Deputy Dray made contact with the woman, identified as 45 year old Barbara Lou Collins of Middlesboro, who was found to have multiple arrest warrants. Collins was placed in custody and a search incident to arrest of her backpack revealed an empty syringe.


Once transported to the Bell County Detention Center Collins stated to Deputy Dray that she was in possession of contraband. A continued search of Collins was performed by Deputy Jailer Jessica Brown which revealed a small clear plastic bag containing a crystal substance, believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine.


Barbara Lou Collins was charged with possession of controlled substance - 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, and she was served the outstanding bench warrants.
