Wallins Kentucky Man Tries to Meet Up With a Child Not Knowing it Was a Decoy

According to a citation, on Friday, June 12, 2026, the Loyall Police Department was contacted by a group known as the “606 Pred Hunters” regarding an individual attempting to meet with who he though was a 14-year-old female juvenile, a decoy.

The man, identified as 47-year-old John Goforth of Wallins Creek, told the decoy that when the two would meet up he would like to “kiss and worship” (her) and requested that the girl send him pictures.

Additionally, Goforth is alleged to have made statements about physical contact with the individual including deviate sexual behavior. 

According to Officer Pace states that Goforth admitted he was told the individual was 14 years old and that he had been talking back and forth with (her).  Goforth also sent his physical address to (her) which was identical to his operator’s license.

Goforth was arrested on Short Street and lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center charged with procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means and unlawful transaction with a minor – 3^rd degree. He is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
