From KSP Post 10 -
Early Sunday morning September 17, 2023 at 5:51 a.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a complaint of a vehicle striking a residence in the Wallins community of Harlan County.
Trooper Brandon Pierson responded to the scene to begin an investigation. Eyewitnesses stated the vehicle left the scene prior to the trooper's arrival, but he did locate the vehicle.
Later Sunday afternoon at 4:45pm Kentucky State Police arrested 30-year-old Cory A. York of Wallins. York has been charged with criminal mischief - 1st degree, leaving the scene of an accident, tampering with physical evidence, and no insurance. He has been lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center. As of this report no bond has been set in the case.
