Wanted Campbell County Tennessee Suspect now in custody

UPDATE - According to the Volunteer Times the suspect now in custody. Ramsey ran out of gas in Williamson county on the side of interstate and was apprehended without incident.


The sheriff's department is asking for the public's help. Please be on the lookout for 43 year old Frank Chester Ramsey age 43 of Jellico, Tennessee.

Mr. Ramsey was released from the Campbell County Jail on Saturday July 27th.

Upon his release, Mr. Ramsey stayed on the premises, and the he destroyed the window of a marked patrol car, stealing the white 2011 Crown Victoria bearing registration TN 0367-GB, parked and scheduled for maintenance.

Mr. Ramsey gained access to the vehicle and located a spare key that was left in the vehicle. There were no firearms inside of the patrol vehicle when it was stolen.

Mr. Ramsey was charged with disorderly conduct on July 23rd by Jellico Police Department. Mr. Ramsey has two prior bookings on record with the sheriff’s office for vandalism and public intoxication.
