Wanton endangerment arrest

From Laurel County Sheriff John Root

Deborah Donette Huff - LCC

Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Kyle Gray along with Deputy Jake Miller arrested 36 year old Deborah Donette Huff of Annville, Kentucky on Monday evening March 11, 2019 at approximately 4:49 PM.

The arrest occurred off Riviera Lane, approximately 3 miles east of London after the Sheriff’s office responded to a complaint of a four-year-old male child that had showed up at a residence not his own.

When detectives and deputies arrived at the scene, the child was able to show officers where it’s residence was – 2/10 mile away. An investigation was conducted where it was learned that the child’s mother - Huff - had apparently smoked methamphetamine and used Suboxone. In addition, she stated that her child had been missing at least 30 to 45 minutes and she had failed to notify law enforcement. It was also learned that Huff subject had apparently driven her child and two other juvenile children while intoxicated. She was determined to be under the influence.

Deborah Donette Huff was charged with three counts of wanton endangerment – second-degree; public intoxication – controlled substances. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County detention center. Photo of accused attached is courtesy of the Laurel County detention center. Social Services assisted on the investigation.
