Warrants served, 2 arrested, more charges added

From The Claiborne County Sheriff's Department

On Wednesday February 27th, 2019 the Sgt. Rocky White, Deputy Robert Reed, Deputy Winston Middleton and Deputy Josh Keaton responded to 204 Lillie Lane Tazewell TN, 37879 to attempt to serve several active warrants after receiving information of several wanted subjects residing at this address.


Upon arrival officer's approached the residence finding Johnathan Goins and Gary E. Williams whom had several active warrants on file at the Claiborne County Jail.


Upon further investigation officer's recovered 0.68 ounces of a crystal substance believed to be Methamphetamine, 0.61 ounces of a green plant material believed to be marijuana, 32 Hydrocodone tablets, 1.5 Subutex tablets and 2 Suboxone Strips. Officer's also located $1825.52 in United States Currency believed to be proceeds of narcotics transactions.


Claiborne County Narcotics Division was notified and responded to the scene to assist. Tennessee Highway Patrol were also on scene and assisted in the apprehension of the two suspects. Johnathan Goins was charged with Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance and Resisting Stop, Halt and Frisk.


Gary E. Williams was charged with Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance for Resale. Both suspects were also arrested for active Failure to Appear and Capis/Bench Warrants out of Claiborne County Tennessee.


The investigation into this incident is currently still ongoing.
