Warrants served lead to an additional arrest in Bell County

From the Bell County Sheriff's Department -

On Thursday August 8, 2019, at approximately noon, Bell County Deputy Edward Dray conducted an investigation revealed that three Bell County residents had outstanding felony arrest warrants for trafficking controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine).


At 2:10pm Deputy Dray along with Deputy, Franklin Foster, went to the suspects' residence and immediately made contact with both suspects identified as 31 year old, Jeffrey Blake Inman and 33 year old Julie Ann Miller/Smith, advising them of the warrants, placing them under arrest.

While on scene, multiple additional suspects arrived on scene, one of which was identified as 45 year old Juannia Sue Smith/Messer of Arjay, Kentucky who was also found to have multiple outstanding arrest warrants. She was advised of the warrants and placed under arrest.


Smith/Messer displayed behavior which led deputies to believe that she had drugs and/or drug paraphernalia concealed somewhere on her person.


She was informed multiple times, prior to be leaving the scene, to turn over anything illegal that she had or that she would be criminally charged if she introduced it into a detention facility. She acknowledged and refused to turn anything over to deputies.


All three suspects were transported to the Bell County Detention Center and upon arrival, First Sergeant Katy Cox of the facility, conducted a strip search of Smith/Messer, revealing two small clear plastic bags containing a clear crystal substance believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine concealed within a body cavity.


Juannia Sue Smith/Messer was charged with possession controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, promoting contraband - 1st degree, buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, and she was served the outstanding warrants.


Jeffrey Blake Inman was served the criminal complaint warrant for trafficking controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine).


Julie Ann Miller/Smith was charged was also served a complaint warrant for trafficking controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine).
