WIlliamsburg woman arrested for stealing mail from local Knox County church

Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith is announcing the arrest of a woman for a theft at the Old Poplar Creek Baptist Church’s Ministries.


On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, Knox County Deputies arrested 48-year-old Sandra Knuckles Lambdin of Williamsburg, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for

Theft of Mail Matter.


On January 28th, Knox County Deputy LT Sam Mullins responded to a complaint of a stolen package after it had been delivered to the Old Poplar Creek Baptist Church’s Smith’s Ministries building on KY 11 in the Poplar Creek area of Knox County.


Lt. Mullins identified the perpetrator as Sandra Lambdin, and obtained a warrant for her arrest. After being taken into custody she was also served a warrant from Whitley County regarding failure to appear Criminal Trespassing - 3rd Degree and Criminal Littering charges.


Sandra Lambdin was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
