Attempted Murder Charge Plead Down For Bell County Man

58-year-old Quinlan Miracle Jr., was facing a charge of attempted murder after an incident on January 25, 2025, which landed a woman in the hospital with serious injuries.

Miracle Jr. had been indicted after being accused of beating his cousin with a baseball bat during an argument.

After Middlesboro Officer Rossi responded to the scene, two vehicles were observed leaving the residence: a black Chevy Cruze and a light blue Chevrolet pickup truck.  The officer was able to see the victim with her face covered in blood inside the Cruze.  A traffic stop was made, and Rossi stated that the woman began yelling for help. She was seen with several lacerations to her forehead, face, and nose.  Her eye was swollen shut, and she had a broken arm and finger.

The woman stated she and Miracle Jr. argued when he became enraged, grabbed a baseball bat, and beat her with it.  She stated she was able to get away when Quinlan went into the kitchen; she ran from the house to her car and left.  Quinlan, in the light blue truck, fled the scene when the victim was pulled over. The woman was later flown to UT Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

After a social media post was made looking for Miracle, he was found the next day and arrested on Highway 72 in Hulen by Bell County Sheriff Sgt. Austin Poindexter.

The August 25th plea agreement states that Quinlan Miracle Jr. pled guilty to a lesser charge from Attempted Murder, amended down to Assault -1st degree, a Class B felony.

The Bell County Commonwealth Attorney's Office has recommended that Miracle Jr. serve a (12) twelve-year sentence. Sentencing is set for September 21st in Bell Circuit Court.
