The driver, identified as 20 year old Brittanie Akers of Arjay, didn’t have a driver’s license due to it being expired. Officer Smith ran the Tennessee license plate of the vehicle through Bell County Dispatch and it returned as stolen by KSP Post 10. During a search incident to arrest, Akers was found to have marijuana in a hoodie pocket.

Brittanie Akers was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged by Officer Smith with:

Receiving stolen property - $10,000 or more (auto),

Operating a motor vehicle with an expired license,

Possession of marijuana.

Officer Hollingsworth states that passenger 37-year-old Linda Brock of Hulen Kentucky was moving around while Akers was pulling over. The officers found a black pouch under the passenger seat containing a clear baggie with a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Linda Brock was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with:

Possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine) by Officer Hollingsworth.
