Checkpoint Yields Arrest for Pathfork Woman Charged with Multiple Drug Offenses

On Thursday, January 1, 2026, at a pre-approved checkpoint, Bell County Deputy Chris Owens made contact with 49-year-old Crystal Alexander of Pathfork, Ky. Alexander was found to be driving on a suspended driver's license and had an active bench warrant from Laurel County.


Upon a search incident to arrest, Alexander was found to be in possession of 29.84 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, 3.3 grams of Heroin, 2.2 grams of Marijuana, approximately 50 Gabapentin pills, several needles, a set of scales, and small baggies for distribution.


Deputy Owens arrested Crystal Alexander and lodged her in the Bell County Detention Center. She was charged with:


Trafficking in a Controlled Substance - 1st degree, Possession of controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (Heroin), Possession of controlled substance - 3rd degree, Possession of Marijuana, Trafficking in controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (Heroin), Buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, and no driver's license.
