Corbin man arrested over stolen vehicle, explosive found device found at the scene

Dustin Rains - WCDC

On August 17th, Sgt.t Jonas Saunders arrested 28 year old Dustin Rains of Old Shriner School Road. Rains was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, wanton endangerment 1st degree, and a bench warrant was served.


The stolen property recovered at the scene was a 2004 Buick car which had been entered stolen by KSP along with a 2004 Yamaha Rhino side by side that had also been entered stolen by Berea Police Department.


An explosive device was located as the scene as well. KSP bomb squad was called and responded to the scene to take possession of the explosive and make the scene safe.


Assisting Sgt. Saunders with this arrest was Deputy JB Coffey. We appreciate KSP and their bomb squad for always working together to keep our community safe.
