A Corbin man facing sexual-related charges involving a teenage girl was indicted Friday by a Laurel County grand jury.
31 year old Brian Johnston, was named in a two-count indictment for charges that allegedly occurred sometime in April 2018 for third-degree rape and third-degree sodomy.
He was arrested March 20th following an investigation by the London Police Department concerning the alleged incidents. According to police, Johnston began engaging the teenager in sexual activity in April of last year.
Police say that Johnston allegedly admitted that he had sexual intercourse with the teenager on at least five occasions and oral sex with her one time.
According to the indictment, the victim was 15 years old at the time of the alleged incidents.
Johnston was released from the Laurel County Correctional Facility on May 29 after posting a $75,000 cash bond. He currently remains out on bond.
An indictment is a formal charge by a grand jury; it is not a conviction or an admission of guilt.
