From The Laurel County Sheriff's Department
Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Rick Cloyd along with Deputy Rodney VanZant arrested Kathy E. Fields age 58 of London on Tuesday afternoon January 8, 2019 at approximately 3:07 PM. The arrest occurred on West Laurel Rd., approximately 4 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle traffic crash there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the vehicle – a black colored Lincoln MKX overturned in a ditch over an embankment there. Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County checked the driver for injuries and she refused medical treatment.
Deputies conducted an investigation on the driver determining that she was under the influence. Kathy E Fields was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense and was lodged in the Laurel County detention center.
