Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting thal Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Hobie Daugherty and Deputy James Fox arrested 34 year old Ashley V. Hurley of East Bernstadt early Sunday morning May 9, 2021 at approximately 5:55 AM off Lee Hurley Road after deputies were dispatched to a prowler complaint there.
Upon arrival deputies conducted an investigation and determined that the complaint was unfounded.
In addition, deputies noted that in the past two days that Hurley had phoned 911 forty times either hanging up on the 911 center or reporting prowler complaints that were unfounded. Ashely Hurley was charged with falsely reporting an incident, harassing communications, and public intoxication – controlled substances.
She was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
