From WYMT -

A Harlan County man was sentenced to federal prison in a meth trafficking case.

United States District Judge Robert E. Wier sentenced Travis Napier, 26, to 181 months in federal prison.

According to Napier's plea agreement, police stopped him three times between February and June of 2018. Each time, police found a box of multiple ounces of meth.

On two of those occasions, the box also had a gun and ammunition. On the third occasion, there was a gun in the vehicle, along with a hatchet, brass knuckles and nunchucks.

Investigators said Napier was traveling from Louisville, where he picked up the meth, to Harlan County to sell it.

James Southard, who worked with Napier, was previously convicted and sentenced to 125 months in prison for his role in the trafficking scheme.
