From WRIL -

James Anthony Lumpkin - BCDC

A man just released from jail on January 7th for drug trafficking was taken into custody for similar charges on Friday January 22, 2021. 46 year old James Anthony Lumpkin was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his 21st street residence by Middlesboro Officer Ryan Collins.

Through his investigation Collins found that Lumpkin was continuing to traffic drugs from the home even after being arrested on January 1st for the same offenses.

Found in the search was over (2) two ounces of suspected Methamphetamine, two digital scales, and close to $3,000 in cash. Officer Collins states that Lumpkin was attempting to hide the drugs in a toilet bowl.

James Anthony Lumpkin was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with trafficking a controlled substance - 1st degree, 2nd offense (greater than 2 grams - Methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, and violation of a court order.

As a condition of previous bail from his earlier arrest, Lumpkin was not to commit any more crimes. These new charges are expected to revoke that bond.
