Middlesboro Police report several stolen vehicles and warn citizens to prevent auto thefts

The Middlesboro Police Department is reporting a rash of vehicle thefts in the last two weeks with three in the last 48 hours alone according to Lt. Joe Holder. The department is advising citizens not to leave your keys in your vehicle. They also suggest not to leave your vehicle unlocked or running unattended even for a short period of time.


Also, be aware of your surroundings so as not to be taken advantage of while walking to and from businesses when you shop.


As always if you are a victim of vehicle theft call 911 immediately, but if you have knowledge
