Mount Sterling man charged with vehicle theft in Middlesboro

On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 12:44 a Mount Sterling, Kentucky man was arrested by Middlesboro Police for theft of a vehicle. On Saturday the 16th a woman reported her 2001 Kia was stolen from her residence.


The vehicle was recovered at 809 Dorchester Avenue on Tuesday the 19th by Middlesboro Police after the driver of the vehicle ran out of gas in front of the residence and was seen on video walking away from the area.


Through the investigation by Police Lt. Barry Cowan, it was determined that 22-year-old Chandler Madison Bradburn of Mount Sterling was the driver.


According to the citation, Bradburn stated he had purchased the car at a dealership with only one vehicle, but he had the keys to the vehicle in his pocket which included the victim's house keys.


Chandler Bradburn was arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000. He was also served with three bench warrants.
