Owners of a local Tazewell, Tn. Pawn shop arrested on multiple charges

On Thursday morning March 28, 2024, Detectives with the Claiborne County Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigations Division, Drug Investigations Division, and Special Response Team executed a search warrant at a Tazewell business.


The search warrant was the result of a lengthy investigation conducted by Sheriffs Office Detectives into the receiving, possession, and sale of stolen property by Middleton Pawn, 3344 Highway 25E, Tazewell.


The warrant led to the recovery of stolen property and to the arrest of the owners 48-year-old Kerry “Pete” Middleton Jr., of Tazewell, charged with Theft of Property and Criminal Conspiracy,


44-year-old Brandie Amanda Fultz, of Tazewell, charged with Theft of Property and Criminal Conspiracy.


41-year-old Wilma Michelle Middleton, of Tazewell, charged with Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance.


They were all lodged in the Claiborne County Jail. Additional arrests and charges are possible as the investigation continues. The Tazewell Police Department assisted in the search.
