Pineville traffic stop leads to a meth arrest

From The Pineville Police Department -

At 7:14pm on Thursday May 16, 2019 Pineville Police Officer Brandon Hollingsworth initiated a traffic stop on a blue Dodge Neon for a damaged windshield in the parking lot of Marathon gas station on Highway 25E.


38 year old Tracie Simpson of Pineville, the operator, told Officer Hollingsworth that she did not have her license in her possession.


The officer states that Ms. Simpson seemed nervous. He then asked for consent to search the vehicle and she gave permission. Located in the search was a blue pouch with eight clear baggies containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. Also found in the pouch was spoons, straws and a syringe. In a purse was found a Hickory Farms container also with a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.


Ms. Simpson was arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.


She was charged with: Possession of controlled substance 1st degree-1st offense (methamphetamine), Buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, License to be in possession, Obstructed vision and/or windshield.


Officer Hollingsworth was assisted on scene by Bell County Deputy Jake Perry.
