MIddlesboro Police Officer Nick Capps took out a criminal complaint warrant on a man on August 6, 2019 for rape.
The complaint states that Officer Capps reported that on June 24, 2019 38 year old George Michael Miniard committed the act if rape in third degree having sexual intercourse with a female less than 16 years old.
The Kentucky Revised Statute 510.060 reads that a person is guilty of rape in the third degree when: (b) Being twenty-one (21) years old or more, he or she engages in sexual intercourse with another person less than sixteen (16) years old.
Rape in the third degree is a Class D felony, punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
