Scalf, Ky. man charged with sexual abuse involving a juvenile

On Sunday, October 10, 2021, at approximately 1:47am Knox County Ky Deputy Bobby Jones was dispatched to a residence on Jeffs Creek Road in reference to a complaint of a drunk male attempting to sexually assault two females.


According to the citation, once on scene Deputy Jones requested a social worker to the scene and located 36-year-old Michael Paul Mills of Scalf, Ky. passed out in a camper on the back lawn of the residence.


Arriving on scene was the social worker who interviewed female juveniles, one of which stated that Mills touched her leg and asked to engage in oral sex and then told her not to tell.


Both Deputy Jones and the social worker were informed that Mills had been put out of the house by his father.


Michael Paul Mills was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and sexual abuse - 1st degree.


Also assisting on scene was Barbourville Officer Hunter Luttrell.
