Six arrested in Pineville on various charges after Sheriff Deputies run routine patrol for drugs

From the Bell County Sheriff's Department -

On Monday night September 21, 2020 Bell County K-9 Deputy Adam Southern and Deputy Frank Foster were on routine patrol near Bradfordtown Road due to recent complaints of drug activity.


During the patrol Deputy Southern came upon a residence with several individuals in a yard, one of which - 44 year old Paul Holland of Pineville - ran from the scene as the deputies arrived. Holland was known by Deputy Southern to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

While Deputy Foster stayed on scene with the other individuals, Deputy Southern chased Holland on foot for approximately 100 yards. During the foot chase Holland was seen throwing down yellow distribution baggies and attempted to hide a back pack under some brush.


Holland gave up and was placed under arrest. Deputy Southern then collected the yellow baggies found to contain a crystal substance believed to be Methamphetamine. The back pack also contained two more packs of suspected Methamphetamine and similar yellow distribution baggies. He was charged with trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (greater than 2 grams – Methamphetamine), buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine), fleeing or evading police – 2nd degree (on foot), and he was served an outstanding bench warrant.

Elige Jones - BCDC

Also arrested on scene was 62 year old Elige Jones of Pineville. After consent to search his vehicle, he was found to be in possession of a glass pipe with residue believed to be Methamphetamine. Jones admitted to smoking meth and marijuana just prior to the deputy’s arrival. He was charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine) and buying/possession drug paraphernalia.

Jerry Dale Hampton - BCDC

Arrested was 54 year old Jerry Dale Hampton of Pineville after K-9 Chan was deployed and alerted on a vehicle he had been driving. Found in a search were two large bags of a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana, and a bag with Marijuana residue. He was charged with possession of Marijuana and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia.



Janet Saylor - BCDC

Arrested was 46 year old Janet Saylor of Pineville charged with possession of controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine) and buying/possession drug paraphernalia.







David Partin - BCDC

47 year old David Partin of Emmalena, Ky. was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine). buying/possession drug paraphernalia, and possession of Marijuana.






50 year old Henry Grubbs of Pineville was arrested on scene for an outstanding bench warrant.


Also assisting on scene was KSP Trooper Joey Brigmon.
