Friday night April 23, 2021, a serious accident took the life of a Thorn Hill Tennessee man.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, at 10:36pm there was a two-vehicle collision on Highway 25E in Claiborne County at the intersection of Little Sycamore Road.
The preliminary report states that a 1994 Buick Century driven by 34-year-old Chad Cawood was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Highway 25E when he crossed the center line striking a 2000 GMC Sonoma pickup truck head-on driven by 56-year-old Robert Suffridge of Mooresburg, Tennessee.
Chad Cawood was pronounced deceased on scene by the Claiborne County medical examiner.
Investigating Trooper William Goode states in his report that it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor, but that tests were requested.
