On Friday morning, December 29, 2023, at approximately 11:13am, multiple first responders were on scene at a single vehicle fatal accident on Clouds Road.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol states in their report that a 1999 Chevrolet S-10, driven by 19-year-old Brianna R. Marshall, was going too fast for roadway conditions while traveling eastbound on Clouds Road. Marshall attempted to negotiate a curve to the right and "went into an uncontrollable yaw." She then ran off the roadway, struck a tree, coming to a final uncontrolled rest.
Brianna Marshall was pronounced deceased on scene.
Among those also responding was the Claiborne County Sheriff's Office, Claiborne EMS, and the South Claiborne Volunteer Fire Department.
Brianna was a member of the Claiborne County Rescue Squad.
