3 arrested for murder in Whitley County

From Kentucky State Police

On Monday, February 11, 2019 at approximately 11:39 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a call from Whitley County 911 about an individual that had been located deceased inside a building in the Williamsburg community of Whitley County.

Upon arrival, KSP Detectives located Billy R. Lawson, 45, of Williamsburg deceased of an apparent stab wound. Lawson was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.

During the course of the investigation, Detectives developed three suspects: Jordan L. Miracle, 22, of Pine Knot, James L. Muse, 27, of Williamsburg and Jamie, C. Muse, 27, of Williamsburg.

All three men were arrested and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center and charged with Murder, Robbery 1st Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

The victim’s body has been transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy that has been scheduled for today.

KSP Detective Billy Correll is continuing the investigation; Troopers and Detectives from Post 11, Whitley County Coroner’s Office, Whitley County Sheriff’s Office and Williamsburg Police Department assisted him at the scene.
