At approximately 10pm Thursday night June 6, 2019 Middlesboro Dispatch received a call of an accident with possible injuries near Red Oak Church on Highway 441, the site of another accident early that morning.
Responding to the scene was Middlesboro Officer Nick Capps, assisted by Sgt. Josh Burchette, Officer Joel Quillen and Officer Harvey Johnson. The men found a sliver pickup truck in the roadway on it's top and the two occupants out of the vehicle.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the driver, 19 year old Isaiah Williams of Middlesboro was exhibiting behavior consistent with being intoxicated. Officer Capps concluded that Williams was impaired after conducting standard field sobriety tests.
He was arrested on scene and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with wanton endangerment - 2nd degree and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (under 21 years of age).
