On Wednesday, July 31, 2019 Knox County Deputy Hunter Luttrell responded to 911 complaint of a man calling for assistance at his residence on Coal Port Road in Artemus.
After arriving at the location, Deputy Luttrell was met by the caller who was jerking uncontrollably. The caller, Michael Collett, stated he had been shot at and two females had come into his residence and pepper sprayed him. He requested Deputy Luttrell to search his house.
Once inside, Deputy Luttrell observed, a set of scales containing suspected methamphetamine, several used syringes, several small plastic baggies and a ledger with a hand written weight conversion chart.
Deputy Luttrell arrested Michael Collett age 42 of Artemus, KY charging him with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance, Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center
