Disturbance complaint leads to woman's arrest for drugs in Knox County

On Friday, October 22, 2021, Knox County Deputy Jesse Smith responded to a disturbance complaint involving a female at a residence on KY 225 in Artemus.


After arriving at the location and conducting an investigation, Deputy Smith learned that 29-year-old Dayna Jo Hubbard of Prestonsburg, Ky. had kicked the door open and assaulted another female inside the residence. A plastic bag containing smaller plastic bags of suspected methamphetamine and assorted pills was located in Dayna Hubbard’s possession.


Deputy Smith arrested Hubbard charging her with Burglary-2nd Degree, Assault-4th Degree, Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree and Possession of Controlled Substance-3rd Degree. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.


Knox County EMS also responded to the residence.
