Evarts Kentucky man arrested after call of intoxicated person at local Middlesboro business

Friday afternoon Middlesboro Officer Michael Bradley assisted by Officer Harvey Johnson responded to a complaint call of a man acting strange possibly intoxicated at a business in the Middlesboro Crossing Shopping Center.


The officers came in contact with 49 year old Clayton Dewayne Napier of Middlesboro who was exhibiting signs of being manifestly under the influence of some type of intoxicant.



During a search incident to arrest, Napier was found to be in possession of two grams of a crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine. He was also found with an assortment of various prescription medication officers determined Napier was selling which included Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Alprazolam, Diazepam, and Clonazepam. Napier was also found with cash in the amount of $488.66 believed to be the profit from the drug trafficking.


Clayton Napier was arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with:

Trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense – 2 grams (Methamphetamine)

(4) counts of trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense – less than 10 dosage units - drug unspecified schedule 1 & 2

(2) counts Trafficking in controlled substance 3rd degree, 1st offense – less than 20 dosage units

Trafficking in controlled substance 3rd degree, 1st offense – greater than 20 dosage units


He is being held without bond.
