Harlan man charged after report of forced entry into a home

On Friday night March 13th, Deputies responded to a complaint of someone trying to force entry into a home in Ages.


Upon arrival in the area, Deputies located the suspect in the area who fled on foot and was apprehended a short time later. While being taken into custody, he resisted arrest. He was also charged with Methamphetamine that was found on his person.


Michael Holbrook, 30, of Harlan was charged with Criminal Trespassing 1st Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Menacing, Public Intoxication and Tampering with Physical Evidence. He was also served with a Child Support Warrant.


Holbrook was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center with bond set at $2,500 full cash. The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
