From The Claiborne County Sheriff's Department -
On Friday, November 8th, 2019 detectives with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division arrested 61 year old Webb Gary Bussell of Harrogate, for filing a false report.
On Tuesday, November 5th Mr. Bussell was subject to an investigation by patrol officers in reference to property of another that he was in possession of and refusing to return.
During the course of that incident, the items in question where located on his property and returned to the owner. Mr. Bussell then called the Claiborne County 911 emergency line twice and stated that he was assaulted by the officer and needed medical attention.
After an investigation into the matter it was determined through body cam footage that the statements made were false and found to be fabricated.
He is being held on the Claiborne County Jail.
