Harrogate man takes lesser charge in case of using Facebook to proposition juvenile victim

From WRIL -

A Tennessee man arrested in November 2021 for using Facebook to make sexual advances toward his own juvenile daughter has taken a plea to a lesser charge in Bell Circuit Court.

It started with a call to Bell County Dispatch regarding a call of a disturbance on Old Pineville Pike on Yellow Hill. At the time Deputy Major Edwards made contact with the woman who stated that her daughter’s father was trying to meet up with the girl to have sexual relations.

Deputy Edwards then made contact with the father, 39-year-old Isaac Dale Crowe of Harrogate, Tennessee, who admitted to being in the area to meet the underage victim. The deputy then reviewed messages on the victim’s Facebook account showing that Crowe had made multiple sexual advances towards his daughter.

The investigation and review of the evidence determined that Crowe used an electronic device to solicit his own daughter to have sexual relations with him once they met up at the location.

Crowe was initially charged with prohibited use of an electronic device to procure a minor for sex offenses.

On March 28th Crowe withdrew a not guilty plea to his charge and agreed to plead guilty to an amended charge of unlawful transaction with a minor – 2nd degree.

April 11th he was back in court for sentencing. Commonwealth Attorney Lisa Fugate recommended, and the court accepted, five years in prison and for Crowe not to have contact with his daughter or her immediate family.
