Inmates involved in riot at Bell County Jail identified and charged

As we told you in an earlier report, Wednesday May 1, 2019 Bell County jail staff contacted local and state authorities to assist in bringing a would be riot under control. Several inmates were involved and have now been identified and charged for the incident. All five involved are now facing charges of inciting a riot, criminal mischief - 1st degree, menacing, terroristic threatening 3rd degree, and wanton endangerment - 1st degree.


The inmates charged are.

29 year old Bradley Barnett of Middlesboro was initially being held on trafficking methamphetamine, burglary, theft of identity, shoplifting, fraudulent use of an ID card, persistent felony offender and motor vehicle charges.

34 year old Virgil Brock of Hulen, Kentucky was being held for theft by unlawful taking, burglary, assault - domestic violence, and failure to appear charges.

24 year old Johnathan Maples of Pleasantville Kentucky was being held on 2 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking methamphetamine, and possession of controlled substance charges.

40 year old Talmadge Posey of Pineville was being held for failure to appear on a probation violation.

27 year old Johnathan Widener of Middlesboro was being held for trafficking Methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance, buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, and bench warrants for motor vehicles violations charges.
