Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith is reporting the following Enforcement Actions:
On November 29, 2021 Deputies arrested Crystal Gail Grubb age 40 of Barbourville, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Theft by Deception-Cold Checks, Criminal Trespassing-3rd Degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition/Shoplifting charges. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 30, 2021 Deputy Jesse Smith arrested Michael Jones age 28 of Corbin, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fine on a Failure to Wear Seat Belt charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 30, 2021 Deputy Jesse Smith arrested Erica Jackson age 38 of Pineville, KY on a Bell County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fine on a Criminal Mischief-3rd Degree charge. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 1, 2021 Deputy Sam Mullins received information on the whereabouts of stolen property. Deputy Mullins traveled to the location on John Carter Hollow Road in Artemus. After recovering the property, Deputy Mullins arrested Ledford Hamilton III age 40 of Aretmus, KY charging him with Receiving Stolen Property. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 1, 2021 Court Security Officer Tyler Fuson arrested Dylan G Brown age 29 of Scalf, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree and Contempt of Court charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 1, 2021 Deputy Jesse Smith arrested Robert S Ward age 29 of Middlesboro, KY on three Bell County Bench Warrants for failure to appear on two counts of Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License, three counts of No Insurance, three counts of Failure to Wear Seatbelts, three counts of No Registration Plates and Excessive Windshield/Window Tinting charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 1, 2021 Court Security Officer James Smith arrested Scotty S Elliott age 32 of Barbourville, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License, No Insurance, No Registration Plates or Receipt and Failure to Register Transfer of Motor Vehicle charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 1, 2021 Court Security Officer James Smith arrested Amber Adams age 23 of London, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant on a Contempt of Court charge. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 4, 2021 Deputy Scotty Wilson responded to a vehicle crash at the junction of US 25E and KY 1304. After conducting an investigation, Deputy Wilson arrested Steven W Mayle age 53 of Cannon, KY charging him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 4, 2021 SGT Carl Frith was dispatched to a complaint of a man pulling a gun and threatening to kill his neighbor at a residence on KY 3436 in Corbin. When SGT Frith arrived, the man left on an ATV. When SGT Frith attempted to stop the man, he jumped off and fled on foot. When SGT Frith caught up with the man, he became combative. SGT Frith arrested Kenneth Jones age 58 of Corbin, KY charging him with two counts of Terroristic Threating-2nd Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police-2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 5, 2021 deputies observed a female unstable on her feet while standing in the roadway on Tower Road in Gray. Tamatha Monhollen age 44 of Siler, KY was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 6, 2021 SGT Carl Bolton arrested Timothy D Collins age 35 of London, KY on a Whitley County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on an Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 6, 2021 Deputy Scotty Wilson arrested Scotty L Hoskins age 39 of Barbourville, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for a Parole Violation charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 7, 2021 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested James M Veach age 33 of Middlesboro, KY on a Bell County Arrest Warrant for Non-Support and a Bell County Bench Warrant on a Contempt of Court charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 8, 2021 SGT Carl Frith arrested Glen Wagers age 58 of Woolum, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fine on an Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place charge and a Whitley County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fine on an Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 9, 2021 Deputy Scotty Wilson arrested Joseph Wagers age 31 of Corbin, KY on a Laurel County Arrest Warrant for Burglary-3rd Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 9, 2021 Deputy Scotty Wilson received a complaint of a possible assault and robbery at a residence on KY 11 in Cannon. After arriving at the residence and conducting an investigation, Deputy Wilson arrested Gary Lynn Clouse age 41 of Tazwell, TN charging him with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 10, 2021 Deputy Jesse Smith arrested Wiley Medlin age 36 of Gray, KY on a Clay County Bench Warrants for failure to appear on Assault -4th Degree and Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance charges and a Laurel County Bench Warrant for a Child Support charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On December 12, 2021 Deputies Bobby Jones and Jesse Smith responded to a domestic complaint at a residence on Corbin Circle in Corbin. While they were conducting an investigation a man pulled up to the residence in a vehicle honking the horn and spinning the tires. The man, Christopher White of Corbin, KY was arrested and charged with Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License, Disorderly Conduct-1st Degree, Careless Driving, Improper Start from a Parked Position and Resisting Arrest. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
