Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith is reporting the following Enforcement Actions:
On June 22, 2020 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Rebecca Ann Jones age 38 of Flat Lick, KY on an Indiana Fugitive Arrest Warrant. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 23, 2020 SGT Carl Frith arrested Jason Sizemore age 30 of Flat Lick, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition-Shoplifting. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 26, 2020 at approximately 3:05 am, while on patrol, Deputy Bobby Jones observed a vehicle parked at the Creek Mart Store in Flat Lick. When Deputy Jones checked the vehicle he discovered a man passed out inside the vehicle. Deputy Jones arrested John Harold Goodin age 26 of Pineville, KY charging him with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 26, 2020 SGT Carl Frith arrested Tammy Burnett age 48 of Cannon, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Assault-1st Degree. The warrant was the result of an investigation by SGT Frith into a fight where the victim was stabbed and cut several times with a knife on June 17, 2020. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 26, 2020 Deputy Sam Mullins arrested Kenneth D Mills age 55 of Scalf, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fine on an Assault-4th Degree charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 26, 2020 Deputy Bobby Jones responded to a domestic violence complaint at a residence on Highway 1232 in Corbin. After conducting an investigation, Deputy Jones arrested Kevin Ray Baker for Assault-4th Degree. During the arrest Kevin Baker continued to resist arrest and shout profanities at Deputy Jones. He was then charged with Disorderly Conduct-2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 27, 2020 Deputy Bobby Jones was dispatched to a fight disturbance at a residence on Gentry Jones Drive in Barbourville. When Deputy Jones arrived Alonzo Brown was outside yelling at the neighbors. Deputy Jones arrested Alonzo Colson Brown age 40 of Barbourville, KY charging him with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place, Disorderly Conduct-2nd Degree and Terroristic Threatening- 3rd Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 28, 2020 at approximately 12:40 am, while on patrol, Deputy Bobby Jones observed a man passed out inside the vehicle in front of a residence on Lick Branch Road in Flat Lick. When Deputy Jones checked the man, he observed a used syringe inside the vehicle. Deputy Jones also observed a 16 year old juvenile male inside the vehicle. Deputy Jones arrested Tinsley Andrew Brock age 22 of Pineville, KY charging him with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Trespassing-3rd Degree and Unlawful Transaction with a Minor. Tinsley Brock was also wanted on a Bell County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition-under $500 and Criminal Mischief-2nd Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 29, 2020 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Phillip Newsome age 41 of Corbin on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fines on Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Possession Controlled Substance-2nd Degree and 3rd Degree, Possession Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana. He was also wanted on another Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on several traffic charges. Phillip Newsome was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 29, 2020 Deputy Bobby Jones traveled to a residence on Valentine Branch Road investigating a drug trafficking complaint. While there, Deputy Jones located a plastic baggie containing suspected methamphetamine, a hydrocodone pill and a marijuana cigarette. Deputy Jones arrested Teresa R Crawford age 36 of Hinkle, KY and Crit Thomas Golden age 39 of Cannon, KY charging each of them with two counts of Possession Controlled Substance-1st Degree and Possession of Marijuana. They were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 30, 2020 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Terry N Hunt age 54 of Kuttawa, KY on a Warren County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on two counts of Theft by Deception-Cold Cheeks charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 30, 2020 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Ronald Lee Jones age 34 of Gray, KY on a Hardin County Arrest Warrant for Theft by Deception-Cold Cheeks. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 30, 2020 approximately 3:40 am Deputy Bobby Jones responded to a domestic violence complaint at a residence on Moore Creek Road in Dewitt. After contacting the victim, Deputy Jones learned that the perpetrator had left walking with his 8 year old son. Deputy Jones located the man and his son in a neighbor’s yard. Deputy Jones arrested Lenny Ray Baker age 48 of Dewitt, KY charging him with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance, Criminal Mischief-3rd Degree and Endangering Welfare of a Minor. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
