On August 26, 2019 at approximately 1:30 am Knox County Deputy Bobby Jones conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11 in Girdler. Deputy Jones located several Gabapentin tablets and a “bong” used to smoke marijuana inside the vehicle. Tyler Bright, a passenger in the vehicle, admitted ownership of the tablets and “bong”.
The investigation continued on to his residence on Highway 1304 in Girdler. Deputy Jones located over one half pound of methamphetamine, a large quantity of Xanax tablets, baggies three digital scales and over $900 in cash inside the residence.
Tyler Lee Bright age 23 of Bimble, KY was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree, Trafficking in Controlled Substance-2nd Degree, Trafficking in Controlled Substance-3rd Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Tyler Bright was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
