On June 8, 2022 Deputy Scotty Wilson received a complaint of a man lying in a ditch on Cactus Lane in Barbourville. After checking the man, Deputy Wilson arrested Burchel Hubbard age 71 of Barbourville, KY charging him with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 8, 2022 Deputy Scotty Wilson arrested George Brewer age 43 of Hinkle, KY on two Knox County Bench Warrants for failure to pay the fines on Criminal Trespass-3rd Degree and two counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition-under $500 charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 10, 2022 at approximately 1:45 am Deputy Jesse Smith was dispatched to the KCEOC building in reference to an out-of-control female. After making contact with the female, Deputy Smith located a small plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine. Deputy Smith arrested Carlene Yates age 63 of Barbourville, KY charging her with Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree and Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 11, 2022 Deputy Scotty Wilson received a complaint of a possible intoxicated man standing in the middle of C Mills Road attempting to stop a motorist. After checking the man, Deputy Wilson arrested Trevor Waskon age unknown of Girdler, KY charging him with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 12, 2022 Deputy Sam Mullins responded to a disturbance outside a residence on KY 459 north of Barbourville. After conducting an investigation, Deputy Mullins learned that a man had been assaulted and threatened by Brian Powell. Deputy Mullins arrested Brian Powell age 41 of Indianapolis, IN charging him with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place, Assault-4th Degree, and Terroristic Threatening-3rd Degree. Brian Powell was also wanted on a Laurel County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fines on Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place and Possession of Controlled Substance-3rd Degree charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 12, 2022 at approximately 12:30 am Deputy Jesse Smith responded to a complaint of two males fighting on Moore Hill Avenue in Corbin. While checking the two men, Deputy Smith learned that one of them, Robert Mills, was wanted on a Kentucky Parole Board Warrant for a Parole Violation charge. During the arrest, Deputy Smith found suspected heroin and assorted pills in his possession. Robert Brandon Mills age 39 of Corbin, KY was also charged with two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree and Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 15, 2022 Court Security Officer James Smith arrested Travis Goble Brown age 29 of Scalf, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Assault-4th Degree. He was also wanted on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fines on Public Intoxication-Controlled Substance and Promoting Contraband-1st Degree charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 16, 2022 Sheriff Mike Smith and deputies arrested Loretta Smith age 54 of Flat Lick, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Public Intoxication-Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charges. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 16, 2022 Sheriff Mike Smith and deputies arrested Tony Gray age 52 of Flat Lick, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition charge. Tony Gray was also wanted on a Bell County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on several traffic-related charges including DUI. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 16, 2022 Sheriff Mike Smith and deputies arrested Dessie L Hawkins age 62 of Flat Lick, KY on a Bell County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance and No Registration Plates charges. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 16, 2022 Deputy Scotty Wilson arrested James Gambrel age 64 of Flat Lick, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on an Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 17, 2022 Deputy Scotty Wilson arrested Johnny Paul Smith age 33 of Rockholds, KY on three Knox County Bench Warrants for failure to appear on a violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO and two counts of Contempt of Court charges. Johnny Smith was also wanted on a Whitley County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fine on an Assault-4th Degree charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 18, 2022 Deputy Sam Mullins arrested Emily Rogers age 29 of London, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Failure to Wear Seatbelts and License to be in Possession charges. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
