Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith is reporting the following Enforcement Actions:
On November 6, 2020, Deputy Steve Owen responded to the Sam Parker Road area of Gray after receiving several complaints about a DUI. The caller stated that Jeffery Crook was in a vehicle DUI driving around Sam Parker Road and Highway 830. While patrolling the area, Deputy Owens observed the vehicle traveling on Highway 233. After stopping the vehicle, Deputy Owens arrested Jeffery Clay Crook age 50 of Gray, KY charging him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle, and Operating on DUI Suspending License. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 9, 2020, Deputy Elijah Broughton arrested Michael Warren age 33 of Barbourville, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Assault-4th Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 9, 2020, Deputy Elijah Broughton responded to a domestic complaint at a residence on Evergreen Road in Flat Lick. When Deputy Broughton arrived he observed a female standing in the driveway cursing and yelling. Deputy Broughton arrested Loretta Smith age 52 of Flat Lick, KY charging her with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place, Disorderly Conduct-2nd Degree, Menacing and Resisting Arrest. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 10, 2020, SGT Carl Frith arrested Jonathan Buchanan age 49 of Woodbine, KY on a Whitley County Bench Warrant on a Contempt of Court charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 15, 2020, at approximately 4:30 am Deputy Bobby Jones was checking the Wildcat Parking lot in Flat Lick when he observed an SUV parked behind the store. When he checked the vehicle, he observed a man curled-up inside the back of the vehicle. After checking the man, Deputy Jones arrested Richard Lee Morris age 42 of Jonesboro, IN, charging him with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 16, 2020, Deputy Sam Mullins arrested Dakota Mills age 24 of Scalf, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Assault-4th Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 16, 2020, Deputy Jesse Smith arrested Angel C Tolan age 34 of Lebanon, KY on a Marion County Bench Warrant for a Probation Violation charge. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 19, 2020 while on Ramsey Branch Road in Artemus, SGT Carl Frith arrested Tiffany Elaine Connell age 31 of Flat Lick, KY charging her with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 20, 2020, at approximately 3:00 am Deputy Scotty Wilson received a complaint of a man yelling and screaming at a residence on Alex Creek Road in Flat Lick. Just before Deputy Wilson arrived at the residence, he was stopped by a man driving a vehicle. The man stated he was the one at the residence. After checking the man, Deputy Wilson arrested Archie Knuckles III OF Flat Lick, KY charging him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 21, 2020, Deputy Scotty Wilson received a disturbance complaint at a residence on Morris Lane in Heidrick. While in-route Deputy Wilson was advised David Boggs had left the location. Deputy Wilson located and arrested David A Boggs age 33 of Girdler, KY charging him with Violation of a Kentucky EPO-DVO. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 22, 2020, Deputy Jesse Smith responded to a complaint of a female that had broken a window at a residence on World Drive in Corbin and was refusing to leave. Deputy Smith arrested Candice Siller age 38 of Corbin, KY charging her with Burglary-2nd Degree. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 22, 2020, Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Preston J Hinkle age 42 of Flat Lick, KY charging him with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On November 22, 2020, Deputy Jesse Smith was dispatched to a residence on HWY 718 in Walker. After making contact, Deputy Smith arrested Julia Honchell age 35 of Barbourville, KY charging her with Public Intoxication. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
