Michigan fugitive with sexual offenses apprehended in Claiborne County, Tennessee

Scott Richard Holloway - CCJ

On Thursday, June 30th, 2022, Detectives with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service Smoky Mountains Fugitive Task Force arrested 54-year-old Scott Richard Holloway of Speedwell Tennessee. Holloway was a wanted fugitive from Howell, Michigan for four counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct - 1st Degree Victim less than 13.


Once he was arrested, Detectives with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant on the residence recovering three firearms, several thousand rounds of ammunition, and a quantity of Methamphetamine. Scott Richard Holloway is a convicted felon from the State of Michigan.


He was lodged in the Claiborne County Jail and charged with being a fugitive from justice. Other charges are pending.


The Claiborne County Sheriff's Office currently has two Detectives attached to the United States Marshals Service and they serve as sworn Special Deputy United States Marshals for the Eastern District of Tennessee United States Marshals Office Smoky Mountains Fugitive Task Force.


The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office affiliation with the United States Marshals Office allows the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office access to resources to locate and apprehend fugitives from Claiborne County and fugitives who come to the area to avoid prosecution from other jurisdictions.
