On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, a Middlesboro man was booked into the Bell County Detention Center on a criminal complaint indictment warrant taken out by then KSP Detective Craig Miller in October 2014. Detective Miller, shortly after taking the initial case, was moved to another part of the agency in a different capacity. KSP Trooper Josh Messer is now in charge of the investigation.
The original warrant states that from January 1, 2010 through July 31, 2014 the defendant who is now 28 years old, Brian C. Taylor of Middlesboro, is accused of committing the offense of Sodomy - 2nd degree. The warrant further states that at the time Taylor was 18-years-old or more and engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a with a juvenile less than 14 years of age, during that time period.
Taylor posted bond on Thursday March 9th and was released.
