Middlesboro Police execute search warrant for drugs netting three arrests

On Tuesday December 20, 2022, Middlesboro Officers - lead by Narcotics Detective Ryan Collins - executed a residential search warrant at 8F Happy Hollow Apartments following a lengthy investigation of drug activity complaints.


Officers made entry into the residence making contact with James Travis Vaughn, Heather (Siegler) York and Jeremy Allen - all currently living in Middlesboro. After the search warrant was read, the search ensued.


Both York and Allen were sitting on a loveseat together. Beside the love seat, multiple digital scales and distribution bags were located. Inside a backpack, officers located suspected oxycodone, gabapentin and marijuana. Officers then moved the love seat and checked a back flap. Tucked inside, officers located two large bags, one with a white powdery substance believed to be fentanyl and one with a brown powdery substance believe to be heroin. Each bag weigh approximately 1oz. Allen admitted to hiding the drugs prior to officers making entry.


Also inside the residence was various drug paraphernalia and a line of a powdery substance believed to be heroin sitting on a plate.


All three individuals were arrested and charged.


James Travis Vaughn is charged with facilitation to traffic a controlled substance - 1st degree - greater than 10 grams (Fentanyl) and trafficking controlled substance - 1st degree (Heroin).


Heather York is charged with trafficking a controlled substance - 1st degree - greater than 10 grams (Fentanyl), trafficking controlled substance - 1st degree (Heroin), importing Fentanyl, and importing Heroin.


Jeremy Allen is charged with trafficking a controlled substance - 1st degree - greater than 10 grams (Fentanyl), trafficking controlled substance - 1st degree (Heroin), importing Fentanyl, and importing Heroin, possession of controlled substance - 1st degree (drug unspecified), possession of controlled substance - 3rd degree (drug unspecified), and possession of Marijuana.


They were lodged in the Bell County Detention Center. Mugshots unavailable at the time of the report.

Allen had a medical emergency and sought medical treatment at hospital, but was then incarcerated.
