Pineville man arrested for shooting at an individual in Knox County, Ky

On Sunday, December 22, 2019 Kentucky State Police Trooper Sidney Wagner responded to Browns Branch in Knox County in reference to a person being shot at.


In his citation Trooper Wagner states that when he, along with Knox County Ky Sheriff's Deputies Bobby Jones and Steve Owens, arrived on scene, the victim stated that 49 year old Robert Ray Crawford of Pineville had shot at him one time and then left the residence.


After locating the residence, Crawford ran around the side of the house after being told to stop.


Crawford was then found hiding in the woods. Also found was the 9mm handgun which Crawford had thrown while running from the scene.


Robert Ray Crawford was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center charged with wanton endangerment - 1st degree, tampering with physical evidence, fleeing or evading police - 2nd degree (on foot), and also had a warrant for non-payment of fines.
