The official release from the Middlesboro Police Department in regard to the incident we reported earlier.
At approximately 3:06pm Saturday January 5, 2019 the Middlesboro Ambulance Service received a call of an injury at Happy Hollow.
The caller gave very few details as to the cause of the injury so Dispatcher Wade Barnett also sent a police officer along with the ambulance.
On arrival, first responders discovered a 19 year old male suffering an apparent knife wound. Jordan Price (the victim and also known as Jordan Partin), 6G Happy hollow Apartments, was transported to Middlesboro ARH and subsequently flown to UT Hospital in Knoxville, Tn. where he is listed in critical condition.
After the preliminary investigation, a 17 year old female was taken into custody and charged as a juvenile with assault in the 1st degree and tampering with physical evidence. She was living with Price and they had a child in common. The incident was apparently domestic in nature. Price suffered an injury to his abdomen and underwent emergency surgery. A kitchen knife approximately 8” in blade length has been seized as the weapon used.
Sgt. Barry Cowan is leading the investigation and was assisted by Officers Kenny Vanover, Michael Bradley, and Chris Barnes. The female has been transported to the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center and will be returned for a hearing on Tuesday in Bell County District Court to determine whether detention will continue and under what status she will be adjudicated.

Middlesboro Police along with Middlesboro Fire/EMS responded to Happy Hollow Apartments late Saturday afternoon January 5, 2019 in response to a domestic incident.
Once on scene officers discovered a male suffering from a serious stab wound. The extent of the wound has required surgery and we are told his condition is currently serious as of this report.
A female juvenile has been arrested on scene and charged with at least assault 1st degree.
She has been transported to the Breathitt Juvenile Detention Center.
We are awaiting more information to be released by the Middlesboro Police Department and will update this story at that time.
Sgt. Barry Cowan is in charge of this investigation.
