From WRIL -
A short time before 2pm on Sunday afternoon July 7, 2019 there was a two vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection with Highway 63 and Arthur Road. The Claiborne County Sheriff's Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol and EMS responded to the scene.
Rhonda Hensley Muncy tells WRIL that her father Conley Hensley was in one of the two vehicles after trying to avoid being hit by what he describes as a brown truck. That truck left the scene.
During the incident Mr. Hensley hit a burnt orange Jeep and then crashed into a guard rail. Rhonda tells us that her father suffered a concussion, abrasions, and bruising. She also tells us that the female driver of the Jeep seemed to be ok at the scene and was examined by EMS personnel. Mr. Hensley was taken by family to Middlesboro ARH for treatment of his injuries.
