Tazewell, Tn. man in jail for a sexual offense

On Wednesday, February 17, 2021 Middlesboro Officer Christopher Partin arrested a Tazewell, Tennessee man on a sexual offense.
45-year-old James Widner was taken into custody at his place of employment on a complaint warrant alleging that he "subjected a person less than (12) twelve to sexual contact." The incident is alleged to have happened seven years ago.
Under Kentucky law, this crime is a Class C felony and there is no statute of limitations.
James Widner is being held in the Bell County Detention Center. No bond has been set yet.
