On Friday, September 23, 2022, at approximately 10:15am Lt. / Det. Barry Cowan arrested a suspect from a burglary at the Family Dollar on Cumberland Avenue. The burglary that took place recently caught social media attention as the suspect - identified as 41-year-old George Frazier of Melvindale, Michigan, was captured on video falling down after trying to vault himself through the broken front entranceway glass.
Frazier was lodged in the Bell County Detention center charged with Burglary - 3rd degree and Criminal Mischief - 1st degree. The Middlesboro Police would like to thank the public for the assistance in identifying Mr. Frazier.
