Traffic stop in Middlesboro reveals Meth, cash, and scales - one arrested for trafficking

On Saturday January 30th, 2021, at approximately 4:30 pm Officer Nick Capps conducted a traffic stop on a 2020 Kia passenger car for a traffic violation. During contact consent was given to Officer Capps to search the vehicle.


Officer Jeremiah Johnson and Officer Dakota Torstrick arrived on scene to render assistance and they found a white-in-color crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine in the back right passenger seat where 18-year-old Kristina Williams of Pineville, Kentucky was seated.


Also located was a digital scale, drug ledger, and $2,740 in cash believed to be tied to the sale of narcotics. During a search incident to arrest, officers also located a suspected Methamphetamine pipe on Williams.

Kristina Williams was arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with for Trafficking controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (greater than 2 grams - Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - delivery/manufacture.
