From the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department -
On the evening of Wednesday, August 26, 2020, the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Team, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the New Tazewell Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence located at 1006 First Ave in New Tazewell.
The search warrant was a result of a lengthy investigation of narcotics sales from the residence. During the search they found Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Illegal Prescription Narcotics and currency.
Kevin DeWayne Lawson, 37, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance for Resale, Possession of a Schedule V Controlled Substance for Resale, Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance for Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Nancy Elizabeth Brown, 52, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance for Resale, Possession of a Schedule V Controlled Substance for Resale, Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance for Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
They were both lodged in the Claiborne County Jail.
